IPAM is pleased to recognize the following participants as the newest members of the 2017 class of AMS Fellows:
- Guillaume Bal (Columbia)—core participant in the Inverse Problems long program in 2003, organizer for a workshop in 2011, and a speaker in 2010
- Yalchin Efendiev (Texas A&M University)—core participant in an upcoming long program on Computational Issues in Oil Field Applications
- Ciprian Manolescu (UCLA)—organizer and speaker for an upcoming workshop on Gauge Theory and Categorification
- Ami Radunskaya (Pomona)—organizer and speaker for 2011 Women in Mathematics Symposium and participant in Mathematical Sciences Internship workshop in 2015
- Richard Schwartz (Brown)—member of IPAM Science Advisory Board from 2009-2011
- Zuowei Shen (National University of Singapore)—core participant in the Optimization long program in 2010 and speaker for workshops held in 2010 and 2013
- Tatiana Toro (University of Washington)—member of IPAM Board of Trustees from 2010-present and lead organizer of Latinos in the Mathematical Sciences Conference in 2015
