IPAM Affiliates to be Plenary Speakers at ECM

Between June 20 – 26, 2021, the 8th European Congress of Mathematics (8ECM) will be held virtually. Originally scheduled to be held in Portorož, Slovenia, 8ECM is the second largest event of mathematics in the world. Participants can look forward to plenary speakers, public lectures, poster competitions and many other enriching activities. IPAM is proud to announce that the following IPAM affiliates will be Plenary speakers for 8ECM.
- Gitta Kutyniok (LMU Munich), organizer and speaker for several IPAM events, including the 2020 workshop Deep Learning and Medical Applications.
- Alice Guionnet (ENS Lyon and CNRS), organizer and core participant for IPAM’s 2018 long program Quantitative Linear Algebra.
- Karl-Theodor Sturm (HCM and University of Bonn), core participant for IPAM’s 2013 long program Interactions Between Analysis and Geometry.
