IPAM Welcomes Selenne Bañuelos as Associate Director
IPAM is thrilled to announce that Dr. Selenne Bañuelos will begin a two-year term as IPAM Associate Director on August 1, 2021. Selenne is currently an Associate Professor of Mathematics at California State University Channel Islands. She received her PhD in Applied Mathematics from University of Southern California in 2013. She has been actively engaged in numerous IPAM programs since 2015, most notably as organizer and participant of the Latinx in the Mathematical Sciences Conference in 2015, 2018, and 2022, and participant in the Collaborative Workshop for Women in Mathematical Biology in 2019. Her research interests lie in the fields of differential and difference equations and dynamical systems and its applications to mathematical biology.
We are looking forward to have her join the IPAM team.
