James Gidney, a long time Aerospace Corporation employee and a member of the IPAM Board of Trustees since 2018, has died earlier this June.  James shared his love and knowledge of mathematics, his  kindness, insights, and vision with several generations of students participating in IPAM’s Industrial Research Projects for Students (RIPS) program working on projects from Aerospace. James was a big support of IPAM and its mission.  He will be sorely missed.
