Stan Osher

IPAM’s Director of Special Projects, Stan Osher, was elected into the National Academy of Engineering on Wednesday, February 7, 2018!  According to the NAE website, election is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer.  Osher has been a speaker and organizer for many of IPAM’s programs, including the current workshop, New Deep Learning Techniques.  He was elected with 82 other members and 16 foreign members, including IPAM participant Charles Meneveau who was a speaker at our 2014 workshop, Turbulence in Engineering Applications.
