RIPS Student Laura Asaro Receives Award for Poster

Laura Asaro PosterCongratulations to RIPS2014 student Laura Asaro (East Central University) who received first place at the OK-LSAMP 20th Annual Research Symposium for a poster of her RIPS project, sponsored by Google, entitled “Using Machine Translation to Extend Text Classification.”  The Oklahoma Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (OK-LSAMP) is a consortium of Oklahoma colleges and universities working together to increase the number of students from underrepresented populations who receive degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The symposium was held on September 27, 2014, at Oklahoma State University.
