Skip Garibaldi, who has served as Associate Director for the past two years, will leave IPAM this summer. During his tenure at IPAM, Skip ran two long programs, a summer school, and many workshops, was instrumental in the implementation of IPAM’s new website and improvements to our processes, and gave a public lecture on his work using statistical analysis to detect lottery fraud.  During this time, the Secretary of Defense appointed him to the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board, which is the premiere group providing independent scientific advice to the Air Force. Skip will be taking a position as Research Staff Member at the Center for Communications Research – La Jolla on August 1.
