Speaker Bio

Xavier Bresson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore (NUS). His research focuses on Graph Deep Learning, which integrates graph theory with neural networks to solve complex data problems. He received the $2M NRF Fellowship, Singapore’s largest individual research grant, and has been awarded grants in the U.S. and Hong Kong. He co-authored one of the most cited papers in the field (top-10 at NeurIPS) and has played a key role in shaping graph deep learning as a discipline. He has organized major events such as the IPAM workshops (2018–2023), MLSys’21, and tutorials at NeurIPS’17, CVPR’17, and SIAM’18. He has been invited to speak at top conferences and institutions, including NeurIPS’22, KDD’21/’23, AAAI’21, ICML’20, and ICLR’20. Xavier has taught deep learning since 2014.
