Convergence to asymptotic shapes in threshold growth and related models

Janko Gravner
University of California at Davis

The talk will address existence of asymptotic shapes,
their identification, approximation and speed of convergence,
both in the deterministic and random settings. Focus will
be on particular illustrative examples which illuminate
such issues as fluctuations of the boundary of growing set
and smoothness of shapes.
