In this talk, I will discuss some implications of power-law
Internet topology for network performance and control. I will
try to show how power-law connectivity affects various aspects
of distributed control, with applications to DDoS, routing,
and fault-tolerance. In keeping with the workshop spirit, I
will insert a non-negligible dose of speculation, along with
open problems and challenges.
