Testing Autonomous Vehicles in a real environment can be costly and sometimes risky. Virtual Reality can be used as a tool for training and testing AV-human interactions in a realistic environment without the actual physical risks. In this talk, I am going to introduce vehicle-in-the-loop and human-in-the-loop VR platforms for autonomous vehicle testing. Also, I will discuss the advantages and limitations of VR in ensuring safer autonomous driving.
