How can we model equity?

Equity is a complex concept that takes different meanings in different contexts, even when we restrict our attention to the area of transportation. In traffic assignment equity may concern the way we treat drivers with the same origin and destination, or the way we control congestion over multiple congested arcs of a network. Equity issues appear also in collaboration initiatives among companies offering transportation services. Such initiatives may be successful only if equity issues are taken into account. In this talk examples of how to tackle and model equity are presented.
