Multi-Dimensional Simulations and Physics of Core-Collapse Supernova Explosions

Adam Burrows
University of Arizona

I will discuss new capabilities to simulate the multi-dimensional evolution of a collapsing stellar core, its bounce, and subsequent evolution, including explosion. The tools we are employing solve the 2.5-D radiation/hydrodynamic equations, including rotation. I will discuss some of the consequences of rotation, and a new scheme we are developing to carry this modeling to the next level of precision and capability.
