Philip Pincus
UC Santa Barbara

This tutorial lecture will be devoted to a review of the properties of highly charged surfaces in the context molecular and cellular biology. The relevant length scales will be emphasized. The focus will be on the application of mean field theory (Boltzmann-Poisson equation) together with its limitations.
