Content-Pipe Divide

The Internet is increasingly being used for entertainment and content sharing, leading to an exciting range of technology and policy challenges. This brainstorming talk discusses the opportunities arising out of the “content-pipe divide,” presents some of the fundamental research problems in distributing content over a network, and summarizes the latest results on one of these problems: P2P streaming capacity.
