On a Plasma-Charge Model

Silvia Caprino

The argument of the talk is the time evolution of a positively charged plasma
interacting with N positive point charges. Any particle of the plasma evolves
according to the Vlasov-Poisson equations to which a singular term has been
added and, viceversa, any charge is acted from the plasma and the other charges.
This interaction could in principle lead the system to collapses. I will show how
it is possible to get rid of this problem, at least in dimension 2, basing on the
repulsiveness of all the forces in the game.
