The additive theory of exceptional sets ==================================

Trevor Wooley
University of Bristol

We describe a method for bounding the set of exceptional integers not represented by a given additive form in terms of the exceptional set corresponding to a subform. We then illustrate this abstract formulation with some concrete applications to additive problems involving primes, squares or cubes. This is joint work with Koichi Kawada (Iwate University, Morioka).
