Network Structures in Amphiphilic Materials: Morphology and Transport

In the presence of solvent, amphiphilic materials produce network structures, including thin bilayer structures (codimension one) and pore morphologies (codimension two). We investigate the bifurcation structure and competitive evolution of these network structures within the context of gradient flows of the Functionalized Cahn-Hilliard free energy. We also present models which couple the ionic transport to the network evolution, and attempts to valid part of the model structure against differential capacitance data.
