Urban data; patterns for the connected vehicle

Richard Sowers

We discuss some recent problems and models related to urban mobility problems and related data.  We consider some problems of unsupervised learning (i.e., nonnegative matrix factorization) in datasets of traffic and parking.  We in particular want to identify and understand some natural behaviors.    We also consider some analyses of congestion using topological data analysis and persistent homology.
