Robust non-isometric shape correspondence

We will present two algorithms for non-isometric shape correspondence which, given a small set of landmarks, are applicable to general manifold surfaces, and work directly on the input surface without requiring a parameterization.

The first is based on a generalization of harmonic maps to the surface-to-surface setting, and the second incorporates an elastic energy and thus can match extrinsic features such as creases.

The resulting maps are highly accurate and thus allow for high fidelity applications, such as interpolation and joint quad meshing.
