Problems of medical imaging (thermoacoustic tomography), as well as sonar and radar reconstructions lead to the necessity of inverting the so called circular Radon transform, in which a function is integrated along circles (spheres) with a prescribed set of centers. The talk will survey problems and results related to uniqueness of reconstruction, recovery of singularities, and inversion for such transforms.
