discrete-time age-structured model is used to study a three species (mackerel-herring-sand lance) food chain in Georges Bank. With and with out Allee effect, the single species model supports no oscillations when the species are governed by compensatory dynamics. However, the model supports complex structures such as multiple cyclic attractors with complex basins of attractions when the species are governed by overcompensatory dynamics. In addition, we study the impact of unstructured populations on the structured models; and the role of adult survival on juvenile persistence. This is joint work with Abdul-Aziz Yakubu and Michael Fogarty.A discrete-time age-structured model is used to study a three species (mackerel-herring-sand lance) food chain in Georges Bank.
