The unique nature of the IPAM [genomics] program greatly facilitated my benefit from the program. While the workshops were indeed great, the unique ‘in-between’ weeks gave ample time for ideas to sink in, and for me to establish relationships with other graduate and post-graduate students, as well as faculty from around the world.
