Workshops

The long program opens with seven days of tutorials that will provide an introduction to major themes of the entire program and the four workshops. The goal is to build a foundation for the participants of this program who have diverse scientific backgrounds.  The topics will include:

• an overview of computational biology for mathematical scientists,
• experimental design and data analysis for gene expression microarrays
• Gene Expression Profiling as Indices of Biologic and Clinical Behavior in Cancer: Comparison of Clustering Methods and Correlative Biologic Indicators
• Whole genome analysis of sequence variation
