The long program opens with seven days of tutorials that will provide an introduction to major themes of the entire program and the four workshops. The goal is to build a foundation for the participants of this program who have diverse scientific backgrounds. The topics will include:
- an overview of computational biology for mathematical scientists,
- experimental design and data analysis for gene expression microarrays
- Gene Expression Profiling as Indices of Biologic and Clinical Behavior in Cancer: Comparison of Clustering Methods and Correlative Biologic Indicators
- Whole genome analysis of sequence variation
