Through the problem sessions, you’ll gain first-hand experience with the commonly used tools and techniques of operator algebras. Guided by the TAs (who were in your shoes just a couple of years ago), you will work in groups to solve exercises from the GOALS notes that will cement your understanding of the concepts and ideas from the GOALS lectures.
The problem sessions are a collaborative activity so that you can build off each other’s strengths and strengthen your ability to communicate complex core concepts in C* and von Neumann algebras.
